The Role: -
• The primary function is to design and develop components for our clients products.
• Applicants should be capable of involvement in all aspects of design and development of plastic and metal components, from initial concept to production.
• Concept origination and engineering are carried out by using 2D/3D CAD Software and liaising with suppliers and other internal departments.
What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:
• Graduate within a mechanical engineering discipline or similar, e.g. Industrial Design.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience of working within a design environment with experience specifically related to design for large plastic mouldings.
• Proficiency in use of a 3D CAD system.
• Experience of using Desktop Publishing equipment (PageMaker, Illustrator)
• Ability to use FEA Packages (Finite Element Analysis) an advantage.
