This position is for an experienced audio typist / secretary to work in a busy Cardiff Gate office. The ideal candidate must be well organised and reliable and able to deal effectively with pressure and prioritise workload.
In addition, candidates must have good diary management skills to co-ordinate meetings and tasks, along with excellent personal communication and interaction skills and be confident and capable when liasing with people at all levels. The ideal candidate must also be able to take initiative as appropriate and work systematically and accurately. Audio typing skills of 70wpm is essential
Duties will include:
·General administration duties, including filing, faxing and post
·Arranging meetings, including setting up meeting rooms and necessary facilities
·Copy typing – 70wpm plus
·Using in house databases
·Maintain team diaries
·Answering, screening and transferring of calls
·Reception cover when necessary
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
· Excellent IT skills including practical knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
· Proficiency in typing / word processing – 70wpm plus
· High standards of presentation and excellent attention to detail
· Ability to prioritise own workload and work unsupervised
· Professional telephone manner and the ability to convey messages in a proper manner
· Smart and professional appearance / demeanour
The hours of work would be Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch.
