My client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design & Maintenance Engineer to complete a 3 month temporary contract with the opportunity to apply for the permanent position at the end.
Duties will include:
To assist in the management and co-ordination of all aspects of maintenance for
properties for which the Group have responsibility.
To survey buildings, inspect plant, make recommendations for replacement, repair and
maintenance work and ensure the safe, correct and efficient functioning of Mechanical
services and prepare reports on the condition of buildings as directed by the Corporate
Mechanical Engineer.
To provide information on time taken in respect of cases/projects to ensure compliance
with national performance indicators and benchmarking.
To provide assistance to the Corporate Asbestos and Legionella Project Manager as directed by the Corporate Mechanical Engineer.
Experience Needed
HND/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services (Mechanical) or registered with the Engineering Council to Engineering Technician status, or above.
Previous experience in mechanical building services of a commercial nature (non - housing)
Sound knowledge of industry standards
Good communication skills both oral and written
I.T. literate and competent in computer aided design
Able to travel in line with the requirements of the post
Able to work to deadlines/deliver projects on target
Able to work under pressure
