My client is a construction organisation with a difference! They are now recruiting for an Environmental Manager. This is a new post and recognises the organisations commitment to environmental issues.
Reporting directly to the Executive team, this new and wide ranging position encompasses all areas of the organisation to include head office, a manufacturing facility and construction sites. You will take the lead in developing the environmental management system and initiate its delivery across all sections of the organisation.
You will consult and advise in a range of environmental issues including building design, product development, waste management and sustainability. You will champion all environmental activities, setting targets for improvement and measuring performance.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an environmental related discipline, you will have excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels with internal customers and external bodies. You will have strong technical knowledge and be aware of current and forthcoming legislative changes. You will be passionate about environmental issues and have a track record of applying your knowledge in a practical way, meeting business objectives.
