    Job Elements: -
    • Full man management of the maintenance and engineering stores staff
    • Ensuring that all maintenance is carried out on time and in full.
    • Developing maintenance systems to ensure maximum machine availability.
    • Co-ordination of all machine installations, upgrades and overhaul.
    • Lead technical projects (tooling introduction, machine modification) to support the New Product Introduction.
    • Control of Engineering stores, ensuring that the balance of stock value to spares availability is improved.
    • Be an active part of the plant management team, working together to ensure long term profitability for the company

    Candidate Requirements: -
    • The position would suit a proactive graduate or professionally qualified engineer who is looking for career progression within the engineering discipline but who is also keen to develop in a processing industry.
    • There is significant scope to implement modern engineering management practice and to deliver substantial improvements in operating efficiency whilst reducing the cost base.
    • Proven experience of delivering lasting professional engineering solutions that have delivered efficiency improvements and a history of recommending and implementing cost reduction projects will be a pre-requisite.
    • A formal Health and Safety qualification would be preferred.
    • There is significant scope for development within the role and a future move out of engineering into an ops role.
    • Ideal candidates will hold a formal education (degree level or equivalent) in Engineering, ideally Electrical.
    • Experience of a heavy manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
