My client, a well know law firm based in Swansea City Centre are looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant in their Finance Team to work on a fixed term basis to cover maternity cover.
As a successful candidate you will assist the Processing Centre Manager in the maintenance of finance Client Rates and Practice Management database. Also to process financial transactions quickly and accurately, by reference to agreed procedures and authorisation levels in order to ensure that Solicitors Accounts Rules meet compliance.
The main aspects of the role are broadly as follows:
• Client Rates
• Database
• Housekeeping"- keeps ' books' and 'ledgers' up to date
• Post bill payments received direct into the firms office account on a daily basis
• Ensure that when office receipts are posted that all Billed Not Yet Paid disbursements are given to the necessary cashier
• Post holder will also have to cover for other members in the team from time to time (eg, for holiday cover or sickness)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Education to GCSE Grade C level or above in Maths and English.
• High level of numeracy in order to interpret data and calculate figures.
• Keyboard/IT skills in use of word, accounts software, excel etc.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, as communication with other internal divisions is vital in this role.
