Job Elements: -
• High volume, fast moving finishing facility supporting a wide and varied customer base with just in time service
• Maximising plant output and improving efficiencies
• Controlling the usage of raw materials whilst maximising physical attributes / properties of our various products
• Producing products in an efficient manner whilst balancing customer delivery dates and stock requirements
• Purchasing of raw materials to enable effective flow of product through the plant
• Development of HSE improvement including safe systems of work
• Provide team building and working relationships within finishing department and between departments e.g. Engineering, Planning and Warehouse
• Managing change effectively
• Controlling cost – Quality, Material usage and overtime
• Developing effective work instructions
• Controlling departmental training to achieve effective cross trained unit
• Exhibit strong Supplier development skills to improve process, products or cost base.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Must have previous management experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience essential.
• Previous lean manufacturing skills.
• IT literate.
