Our client is part of a major international manufacturing company in the automotive sector which has experienced ongoing growth over many years. The Gwent based manufacturing site has been going from strength to strength with an impressive list of established first tier clients and a growing portfolio of prospective contracts being developed for the future.
The Role
Ongoing demand and the pace of change has created opportunities for new graduates with business and / or engineering training to strengthen the skill base within the organisation and to play a key role in the development of the company’s processes.
Key Duties
• Work closely with line manager and co-workers on the shop floor learning and developing knowledge of company manufacturing processes
• Examine existing systems and review in line with modern manufacturing techniques and discuss with line managers and project leaders
• Produce effective solutions / SOPS (Standard Operating Procedures) to update current methods and to enhance both existing processes and effectiveness of staff input through staff development
• Rotate project activity throughout the site as part of the learning process and ongoing development of the company functions
Candidate requirements
• Graduate in Business / Engineering / manufacturing / Logistics or related
• Minimum 2:2 grade required or above
• Ideally you will have some placement or experience within an industrial / manufacturing environment or have been involved in some project activity
• You will require very good analytical and problem solving skills
• Very good communicator with the ability to produce and present reports to line management
• Excellent team player and able to act upon your own initiative
• Ambitious and career minded flexible individuals who are open to further training and development
