| The Role: • Plan and control design/development of electrical/EMC aspects of new products from concept to mass production. • Liaise with customer/supplier to fix specifications of new components and resolve design issues. • Plan introduction of new electrical parts using Microsoft Project. • Co-ordinate with Safety and EMC approval bodies for compliance testing of new models • Co-ordinate investigation of electrical/EMC performance issues of existing products and implement countermeasures to problems. • Arrange evaluation and introduction of new electrical parts for existing products. What the company is looking for in the successful candidate: • Minimum HNC/HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) • Background in electrical product design and development • Experience of new product development through to mass production • Project planning experience • Some use of basic test equipment and soldering equipment.
