| Wanted… A professional, experienced Molecular Biologist to add to a progressive department within a large Science company in Cardiff, South Wales. Who are you? • A candidate with an excellent degree in molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry. • You will have experience of DNA amplification, including q-PCR and RT-PCR methods. Preferably you will have laboratory experience in the field of assay design and optimisation or a relevant PhD. • Knowledge of applying nucleic acid based techniques in a clinical/industrial setting would be advantageous. • Additionally, you will be able to adapt rapidly to a changing agenda, working on multiple projects to strict deadlines as required in a commercial environment, and be comfortable working with new ideas and concepts that may be outside your field of expertise. Your responsibilities will include… • You will be responsible for the research and development required to develop the company’s current range of products. • You will work with existing Application Specialists and Product Managers to understand the requirements for new product developments and convert these into R&D plans. • You will also help to develop the company’s underpinning Microfluidic technology. Reward £25k is available for exceptional candidates, depending upon experience and qualifications. The appointment is full time with a 3 month probationary period, with equity holding incentives. |
