The Role:
• Working within the research and design department.
• Testing, evaluating and recommending cooking times for items in charts in cook books.
• Developing new recipes for cook books.
• Evaluating new model performance at pre-production stage.
• Problem solving for cooking complaints as requested by consumers or sales companies.
• As necessary communicating with internal departments, sales companies, translation agencies and suppliers.
• Assisting in cooking presentations and workshops with the marketing department.
• Daily maintenance of test kitchen area.
What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:
• Degree or HND level in Home Economics (or Food and Consumer studies).
• Proven experience working in the field of product development taking concept ideas through to successful product launch.
• Hands on practical cooking experience essential.
• Experience assessing and evaluating finished cooking results and ability to change ingredients or cooking processes to improve those results.
• A foreign language is desirable but not essential.
