| Daily Hours: 9hrs Start 6.30am normally finish @ 4.30pm + overtime (flexible approach to work hours) Other Information: • Employees must hold a valid driving licence with a reasonable driving record. • Requirement for occasional Saturday and possible Sunday working if client requirements demand. • Must be able to travel to Yard by 6:45am each morning. • The company operates a development review process. This means that employees are evaluated on a regular basis as a means to determine training requirements, development and future promotion. • Training undertaken as identified during development within the role. • Corporate workwear provided (uniform – trousers, t-shirts, fleece, wet weather gear, boots & Wellingtons + PPE relevant to the job). • 15 days paid annual leave + official bank holidays. • Will be eligible for membership of company Stakeholder Pension scheme, after qualifying period of employment. 2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Principle and end results expected of the job) • Housekeeping of ALL external area • Maintain landscape at front of premises • Clean external façade of building • Safe and efficient storage of material and equipment • Carry out basic servicing of equipment (where appropriate) • Coordinate appropriate storage and supply of PPE stock • Timely and accurate completion of relevant stock control and delivery paperwork • Security of the yard and buildings (key Holder) • Assist with other tasks to support the business as required Essential Requirements Must have full, clean UK driving licence. Physically fit. Must have pride in appearance and cleanliness of yard. Experience of working outdoors in extreme weather conditions. Ability to organise systems/procedures with stock control responsibilities. Prepared to work to deadlines and be accountable Good attendance and time keeping. Must be self motivated Ability to communicate effectively with supervisory staff, operatives, clients and suppliers. Awareness of health and safety issues and a duty of care towards team and members of the public. Flexible approach to hours and days of work must be willing to work some weekends, when work level demands longer hours. Must adhere to work wear policy, maintaining a professional and tidy appearance when at work. Telehandler license preferred and ability to drive with a trailer Experience of Yard person / handy person type duties Must have pride in appearance and cleanliness of yard Must be self motivated Prepared to work to deadlines and be accountable |
