My client is is the UK’s leading Utility Connection & Energy Management solutions provider. They require a Business Development manager to work with there team based in Cardiff.
The incumbent will be responsible for new sales activity associated with the utility services departments design, wayleave and utility project management services to residential, industrial, retail and commercial developers.
My clients services in these areas are generally associated with early utility feasibility advice, value engineering (cost reduction and negotiation in utility infrastructure and diversion procurement), wayleave / lease negotiation and utility management of connection procurement, installation, supply and metering to ensure timely delivery.
They have a proven track record in provision of these services and this role is to undertake marketing, sales and business development activity in order to rapidly expand the Utility Services division’s customer base within the developer marketplace e.g. to the public sector / development agencies, residential developers, multi-site roll out, M&E consultants, QS’s, Construction companies etc.
This role will also include responsibility for promotion and sales of design and wayleave services to the utility industry (e.g. DNO’s, gas transporters, ICP’s, water authorities etc.)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Marketing campaigns
• Identifying target customers across the UK
• Setting up sales meetings with new customers across the UK
• Meeting & Presenting services to new potential customers across the UK
• Providing proposals to and closing contracts for utility services with developers and their agents
• Maintenance of business development / customer relationship management systems
