Job Elements:
* Plan, develop, implement and deliver effective end to end supply chain and procurement solutions.
* Lead the Supply Chain activities in support of specific customers.
* Directly / indirectly manage the purchasing and expediting functions for given customers.
* Manage supplier operational performance.
* Develop inbound logistics solutions with suppliers to support inventory and service targets.
* Drive improvement in key metrics - e.g. on time delivery, inventory, continuity of supply.
* Ensure Business Controls are adhered to at all times.
* Develop internal materials handling and logistics processes.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Typically 5 years or more in a purchasing and / or supply chain function within a high tech manufacturing organisation.
* Thorough knowledge of MRP and purchasing processes.
* CIPS qualified or working towards
* Good team player who enjoys motivating and driving diverse teams.
* Strong analytical capabilities supported by working knowledge of Microsoft office products.
* Excellent communication skills
