| POWERPLANT ENGINEER The Company: Our client has established itself as the leading independent provider of commercial aircraft engine maintenance management services, they are currently looking for a Powerplant Engineer to join their successful team. The Role: To provide engineering and business support to the operations of the company and its customer base worldwide. The Powerplant Engineers prime function will be to provide technical and commercial support in aircraft engine repair and overhaul including the activities outlined below. Responsibilities: Have prime responsibility for the management of Airline & Leasing company related engine management programs, including; a) Provide technical management and cost control of the customer engines going through repair and overhaul. This process includes but is not limited to definition of workscopes; strip overview on-site at engine repair shops world-wide; repair/sub-contract material definition; cost estimation; build process review; exchange parts vetting; test bed performance evaluation; invoice review. b) Commercial and technical liaison with Customers/Suppliers consisting of Airlines, Management Companies, Leasing Companies, Brokers and engine repair shops worldwide. c) Technical liaison with regulatory authorities world wide as required in support of obtaining and maintaining regulatory authority approvals for the company and customers. d) Establish Engine Management programs for customers across all civil mid thrust and large fan engines as required and necessary. e) Maintain current industry awareness of all engine types maintained and supported by the company and customers. f) Maintenance of the ‘Fleet Tracking Program’ to accurately predict future shop visits requirements against all programs. g) Ad-hoc technical assessment work for pre-purchase or end of lease programs for the company and their customers. Represent the company at the following; a) Industry conferences b) OEM visits and operator conferences c) Customer visits off site d) Supplier visits e) Customer visits to the offices Technical support will be provided from other Powerplant Engineers, the Team Leaders and the Directors. The Candidate: The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level, with 4 years experience working on various types of engines. Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 - 1700 Flexibility during working hours and when travelling on company business will be required.
