INJECTION MOULDING TECHNICIAN - £19,000 - £21,000 PER ANNUM

The Company:
Our client is a progressive company, specialising in the over-moulding of metal inserts predominantly a supplier to the Automotive sector.

The Role:
The successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking tooling and material changes in a timely manner, ensuring product quality and a robust moulding process.

Main duties:
· Mould tool and material changes including all associated ancillary equipment and automation.
· The setting of machine parameters (and all relevant ancillary equipment) dependant upon each individual job.
· In process optimisation on a variety of moulding machines (mainly Arburg 50T to 200T) in order to minimise scrap and
maximise production.
· Quality monitoring, ensuring parts meet customer specification.
· Troubleshooting, process optimisation, faultfinding and rectification.
· Carrying out basic maintenance on all machines and equipment e.g. ensuring oil levels are maintained and heater bands
are changed when required,
· Housekeeping.

Skills and experience:
· Experienced time served injection moulding technicians, ideally with a City and Guilds or BPTA qualification.
· A working knowledge of production within a high volume automotive environment, ideally Automotive.
· Fully conversant with manufacturing practices such as 5s and SMED.
· Team player.
· Good communicator.

Working Hours:
You will be working a 3 shift system:

Days 6.00am -14.00pm
Afternoons 14.00pm -22.00pm
Nights 22.00pm -6.00am.
