| DAY TECHNICAL MANAGER - CIRCA £30,000 The Company: Our client is an innovative, world-class food technology centre, who has an exciting opportunity for a Day Technical Manager to joining and be apart of their successful team. The Role: Lead a team to develop and implement cost effective and appropriate quality processes to ensure the effective production of safe food. Design, manage and review food safety and quality management processes. Drive continuous improvement and ensure that appropriate actions are taken where required to ensure products meet specification, are legal and are produced to a good manufacturing standard. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Process Technology: Understands new processes and technologies and their applications to the business, and advises the Board on competitive advantages. Drives the technical risk assessment process and provides solutions/ advises the Board on possible alternatives. Develops and manages continuous improvement systems for processes. Food Safety and Quality Management: Lead the team to ensure accurate implementation and analysis of agreed standards. In depth awareness and implementation of legal requirements and relevant codes of practice. Hold/dispose of stock and implement corrective action and/or recovery plans. Design, manage and review processes to deliver the food safety and quality management KPI’s. Develop and manage continuous improvement systems. Key interface with operations and NPD teams to ensure launches e integrated into the Food Safety and quality systems. Compliance: Leads the team to ensure process activities are compliant with relevant Codes Of Practice Interpret trends and data and advise on corrective action strategy. Manage customer requirements – providing information and giving technical advice. Defines corrective action strategies and evaluates if expert input is required.Manage and uphold compliancy standards. Designs new process measures as required Product and Raw Materials Expertise: Understands key ingredients and their role in the various conversion processes and advises on value analysis and usage optimisation.Communicate process cost saving opportunities and identifies links to other business groups Liaises with suppliers for new process developments Innovation:Provides new and innovative processes and systems that change the way products are made. Health & Nutrition Strategy: Interprets and applies with policies to business processes. Data and Knowledge Management: Use all media types to understand the technical aspects of processes and report their significance to the business. Applying Technology to the Business: Responsible for communicating technical process information in a way that meets the needs of the target audience. The Candidate: Track record of successful process design and implementation. Degree or equivalent in relevant technical discipline.Previous man management experience with direct responsibility for a team. Project management experience.Track record of influencing across multi disciplines.Minimum of 3years in a chilled or frozen manufacturing facility.
