Accounts Payable Specialist (x2)
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 pro rata
Length of Contract: 26 weeks

JOB DESCRIPTION

Accounts Payable Specialist - Supplier Reconciliation

Main duties are related to escalated payment queries, identifying problems that have delayed payment and seeing tracking issues through to resolution. In addition, for the top 20 suppliers, identifying whether the liability as per the supplier statement is provided for within the accounts

Key Tasks

Focusing on top 20 Suppliers:
Reconciling supplier statements to supplier & general ledger
Identifying PO or accrual status
Resolution of related issues incl:
Receive final demands, disconnection notices, court summons etc requesting payment for overdue invoice.
Maintain database of requested invoices
Track invoice through to payment
Liaise with Department officer to expedite early authorisation of invoices
Liaise with suppliers to ensure continuation of service provision pending escalated payment process

Person Specification

Computer Literate
Previous reconciliation experience
Previous experience in a Account Payable environment is desirable as is; Knowledge of Oracle 11i (AP) or similar financial system
Organised & flexible, with excellent attention to detail
Good written and oral communications skills
