Job Elements:

• Identify new business opportunities within assigned segments and develop new business.
• Manage the sales process including; cold calling, project discussions, client visits and presentations, RFPs, quotations and closing the business.
• Secure business opportunities with customers.
• Achieve sales goals month on month within the assigned revenue budget.
• Call prospective customers in designated market area to qualify leads and explain capabilities and services offered.
• Visit prospects and customers to present capabilities and identify opportunities.
• Market the Companys capabilities and use market research methods to identify new customers within assigned territories that are aligned with the Companys capabilities.
• Attend trade shows, industry meetings, seminars and networking sessions by representing the company in a professional manner.
• Manage sales process logistics: call reports, client visits, customer logs/database, activity updates, business forecasting, expense reports.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelors Degree in technical or scientific discipline or equivalent experience; advanced or professional degree preferred.
• Significant track record of successful business-to-business sales experience.
• Management experience is desirable.
• Significant experience in pharmaceutical product development and/or clinical supplies services.
• Working knowledge of analytical chemistry, formulation science and pharmaceutical manufacturing terminology.
• Working knowledge of the drug development process and of cGMPs.
• Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
• Willingness and ability to travel (day trips and overnight travel) approximately 75% of time.
