INTERNAL SALES MANAGER

Our client are looking for an Internal Sales Manager to to have direct responsibility for the control of stock shape sales and all sales office personnel. To manage the sales and processes of inter-company transactions, to represent the company in a professional manner and liaise with other departments and sales/branch managers regarding the market and sales activities.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide resources for all personnel to perform in their job as required.
* Provide training and development of individuals and put into a training plan to ensure personal development interviews are carried out at least once a year.
* Offer direct support to the sales team, including providing sales and technical information, and handling complaints/problems within the department and with customers when necessary.
* Monitor the performance of all personnel in the department on a regular basis.
* Interview for all job vacancies at the branch.
* Ensure the correct procedures are adhered to including order processing, contract reviews, quality procedures.
* Ensure pro-activity is carried out to a high degree, and new business targets are set.
* Negotiate with reactive pricing and ensure maximisation of margin.
* Ensure there are staff covering telesales between 8.00am and 6.00pm.
* Ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
* Ensure that all customer enquiries (including technical information) are responded to correctly and with a sense of urgency.
* Create and maintain a motivated sales team to provide improved performance within the sales office and to continually develop existing accounts.
* Monitor key accounts and sales analysis.
* Ensure customer records/files are maintained.
* Plan and carry out sales activities/projects to achieve and be responsible for sales turnover targets
* Provide information on all department related activities and back up when required.
* Work together on future plans for sales development within the department.
* Ensure annual budgets are completed along with the business plan.
* Supply the necessary reports on a monthly basis (content to be agreed).
* Attend regular management meetings where and when required.
* Supply all of the relevant information relating to competitors’ movements, pricing structures and market information on a monthly basis.
* Liaise with other department and branch managers, working within this team to provide information and support as required.
* Represent the company in a professional manner.
* Visit customers when required, providing information on the company and projecting the right image.
* Be involved with exhibitions and provide representation for the company on the stand if required.
* Encourage and motivate members of staff and build an effective team. Adopt an affective leadership style to supervise and develop all employees in line with company and departmental/branch objectives.
* Ensure members of staff are made aware of company procedures and adhere to them.
