- Full Description:
Job Elements:
* Manage the design of the product from concept through to production and end of life.
* To provide models, drawings and technical expertise to support responses to customer RFQ's (Requests For Quotation).
* Preparation of schemes, models, assembly and detail drawings
* Modification / amendment of existing drawings in accordance with design standards,
* Production of design related documents, i.e. engineering change requests (ECR's), to reflect and support drawings.
* Design liaison across multi-functional teams that will include customers and suppliers which could involve foreign travel.
* Creation, issue and up-dating of the DFMEA for each product
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified to minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline, ideally degree level or equivilent
* A minimum of 1 years design experience in a similar role, preferably with an automotive background
* Working experience of 3-D CAD package (ideally Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2, CATIA v5 etc).
