Job Description

  • Management of the Development Department, managing the day to day activities of the Development Team, including project management, recruitment & selection, appraisals and training/mentoring.
  • This is a hand’s on role, providing concept and prototype designs, coming up with initial ideas and taking any existing ideas through to a final concept design or prototype.
  • Management of prototype functionality and performance testing.
  • Liaising with multinational component manufacturers in development of new products.
  • Test & Development: Hardware/Software: Leading development of new and existing test equipment with supervision of inter-departmental and cross-functional teams.
  • Leading development of new and existing electronic biased production equipment.
  • Introduction of new/review of existing test protocols for all product lines.
  • Assist in creation of new product documentation, sales strategies, press releases and direct customer support.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of HNC level in electrical/electronic engineering
  • Supervisory/management experience in high volume electronics production industry.
  • Able to communicate and report at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel at national and international levels assisting with sales and customer support.
  • Proven ability to lead team in cradle to grave electronic product development.
  • Able to lead/mentor software development projects –
  • Extensive electronic circuit design
  • Certified ability in Microsoft Project and advanced working knowledge of all Microsoft Office components.
  • Proven experience in leading research, design and development of new and existing test strategies (hardware and software) from concept to commissioning, including liaising with university and research bodies.
