Job Description

• Freight Forwarder Management
• Expediting shipping documentation from suppliers – predominantly Chinese.
• Tracking & monitoring of shipments – sea & air freight.
• Liaison with Logistics Team for container destination & bookings
• Liaison with Finance Team for supplier payments
• Receipting of shipments onto Microsoft Navision
• Matching invoices onto Microsoft Navision
• Upkeep of payment spreadsheet/database
• Collating shipping documentation & raising payments for authorisation
• Filing shipping documentation in line with customs requirements
• Invoice checking & authorisation

The ideal candidate will have: -

• Good understanding of freight & logistics movements
• Experience of sea & air freight – China, HK, UK, Belgium, Holland, Italy, France, Poland Etc.
• Freight Forwarder Management
• Incoterms understanding – costing & shipping under various terms FOB, CIF, DDP
• Competent with Excel
• Mathematically sound/comfortable
• Methodical
• Good attention to detail
• Works to tight deadlines
