Job Description
- This is a full time role within the business development department and each individual works from their home base.
- The person reports on a daily basis to the Head of Customer Services.
- The overall purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive support to customers following the sale of the company’s services and to respond to any shortfalls in service experienced by them during the duration of the contract.
- The senior account manager will be responsible for taking the lead upon the “Sales Implementation Plan” (SIP) following the sale of the services, to ensure that all the elements are in place to absorb the new business into the company.
- To establish and maintain effective formal and informal communication with the key customers assigned to the account manager, the key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
- To respond to any customer complaints to ensure these are dealt with speedily and effectively through to conclusion and to the satisfaction of the customer.
- To arrange visits for customers to company sites to develop and maintain their interest in company services.
- To keep customers aware of business developments and to seek feedback from them so that the company can effectively implement a programme of continuous improvement.
- To investigate and negotiate with customers in the event of any claims against the company.
- It is a senior role within the department to manage the customer relationship.
What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:
- The senior account manager needs to possess and demonstrate planning and organisation skills.
- Proven experience of Corporate Account management within a service industry.
- Deally experience of the retail industry.
- The person must possess the ability to think logically and clearly, able to make decisions and use their own judgement.
- The individual needs to be self-motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their work in order to meet the customer needs in a timely manner.
- The successful candidate will be flexible, and be available for work during all designated hours to meet the needs of the customer.
- Possess current driving licence – ideally with no endorsements
