Job Description

  • The role is both project based and hands-on practical engineering, with responsibility from process design to manufacturing support SOP +3 months.
  • The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-functional project team as well as a team member of Production Engineering.
  • Process design and development from concept to SOP that achieve design, quality and process standards.
  • Facility specification, procurement, supplier management, capacity planning, layout, commissioning, training and handover.
  • Develop project timing plans, maintain, update, critical path, recovery and risk identification.
  • Problem solving and countermeasure development and implementation.
  • Provide and maintain accurate, reliable and timely departmental documentation, report generation.
  • Work instruction, operation sheet creation.
  • Budget control and record keeping.
  • Pre-production build planning, organising, control and delivery of samples.
  • FMEA, Process Sequence Chart creation.
  • Project QCD KPI achievement.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering disciplines, with the ability to apply fundamental principles in practical applications.
  • Quality principles and understanding and application of process capability.
  • Experience and knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans and Process Sequence Chart.
  • Basic Industrial Engineering knowledge, time study appreciation, process flow, material handling, etc.
  • Basic project management experience, skills.
  • A minimum HNC in Mechanical or Electrical discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an industrial environment in an Engineering capacity.
