Job Description
- To work to targets as agreed with the Production Manager and to ensure the flow of work meets customer requirements.
- To support the operation of the Production unit by supervising engineering, quality, production and equipment.
- To check the accuracy of product quality and specification.
- To maintain production and stock control records.
- To support staff in their training and development needs.
- To review and make recommendations for the development and improvement of the production unit.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified vehicle fitter or technician with substantive experience of heavy diesel vehicles.
- Experience of vehicle building or conversion.
- Ability to work unsupervised and accurately to tight targets and deadlines and to supervise and motivate a small team to do likewise.
- Ability to understand and interpret simple drawings and work schedules.
