Job Description
- The role reports to the CEO to put all accounting procedures in place.
- To produce management accounts on a monthly basis with full back documents of a consistent nature.
- To work closely auditors once a year and to successfully gain approval for all accounting procedure in place.
- To research and assist with all accounting updates, laws and legislations and to ensure the smooth running of the company
- Do monthly payroll and complete year-end payroll procedures and Inland Revenue forms. Manage the payroll of overseas employees.
- Invoicing: ensuring relevant quotes, purchase orders and / or agreements correspond to invoice. Attend revenue delivery/ invoicing meetings
- Maintain and improve relevant internal systems to ensure useful management information and reports.
- Management of cash to ensure funds available when needed and try to obtain best options available for surplus funds to maximise return.
- Bank reconciliations; VAT returns; monthly journals accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
- Introduction and operation of financial procedures and improved accounts documentation
- Improve financial control systems and proactive reduction of costs.
- Prepare interim and annual financial reports and statutory statements. Organise annual audit with accountants.
- Coordination of company insurance policies and liaising with brokers on insurance issues.
- Responsible for computerised accounting systems.
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACCA or qualified by experience
- 10+ years accounts experience gained within a commercial environment
- Experience of staff management an advantage
- Tax experience
- Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills
- Very sound technical accounting base Influencing and relationship management skills essential
