Job Description
- Provide Technical advice and assistance when managing customer orders.
- Effectively deal with the quotations in a timely manner and communicate with the customer throughout the process.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, and comply with Technical & Manufacturing capabilities.
- Ensure drawings / documents are issued that meet the customers'' requirements and match the proposal.
- Make certain any prices quoted are an accurate and a competitive reflection of the work required while liaising with the client to understand project brief.
- Liaise with all relevant departments to gather the necessary technical, material and labour requirements.
- Interpret drawings technical specifications and sales briefs for both the team and personal workload.
- Contribute towards the conversion of quotations into actual customer orders.
- Support new product introduction and product development/design by advising on the most economic methods of manufacture.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Must have technical engineering product knowledge and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Ideally educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering
- Have experience of working in a customer focused role and be able to fully understand the customer''s needs.
- Analytical skills able to focus on detail and holistic view.
- Commercially focussed with a good awareness of true cost.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels internally and externally.
- Capable of driving issues through to completion.
- Highly motivated.
