Job Description

  • The identification and elimination of Energy waste
  • The provision of engineering knowledge and technical expertise
  • The cost effective management of human, material and financial resources
  • The provision and support of efficient manufacturing processes and plant
  • The identification of process and energy improvement opportunities
  • To communicate best practices between sites
  • Liaise with the respective maintenance planner to ensure all maintenance activities are planned and scheduled to occur within a timely manner aligned to any specific legislation requirements.
  • Coordinate and supervise external contractors when necessary.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and reporting of data as required by the CCLA & EUETS requirements, keep up-to date with changes in legislation.
  • Plan & Implement a plant improvement programme to ensures continued availability and improve plant efficiency.
  • Standardise and communicate all Energy improvement opportunities across sites.
  • Generating, analysing and reviewing data and providing senior management with information to ensure timely decisions can be made on environmental and energy performance in particular:
  • Assisting in the planning, arranging, and carrying out environmental audits.
  • Liaising with Group Technical and Environmental Managers.
  • Notifying the Environment Agency of non-compliances as required by the Permit.

The ideal candidate will have: -

  • Educated to a minimum of HNC in an Engineering discipline
  • Have a proven track record and experience in project management
  • Thorough understanding of combined Heat & Power, High pressure steam systems and current energy legislation.
