Job Description
- As part of its strategic growth, a role has arisen within the organisation for a Business Development Manager. You will help to deliver and develop a comprehensive strategic and tactical plan for business development.
- You will be required to cold call into businesses as well as account manage your existing client base.
- Liaise internally with the marketing team in order to develop, research and generate potential leads.
- Co-ordinating presentations.
- Develop an existing plan for projects, using a network to generate leads and raise the profile of the organisation.
- Develop and manage effective partnerships with both existing and new clients.
- Stay appropriately networked and keeps abreast of trends, news, events, so that all possible, new or enhanced opportunities are exploited.
- Maintain a useable business development database
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years must include a successful portfolio of income-generating projects within the business-development field, and a demonstrated ability to work well in an inter-cultural environment
- First class communication skills able to operate professionally and effectively at all levels.
- This role would suit an individual with personal drive, an international background, influence and persuasion, strong organizational skills and self-management, strong interpersonal skills, market knowledge as well as a hunger to succeed.
- Excellent rapport building, networking and relationship management experience. Ability to facilitate, maintain and manage good working relationships between staff, Management, and clients.
- Entrepreneurial drive, passion and ability to help shape the organisation’s business development strategy.
- Ability to develop fresh approaches and innovate as appropriate.
- Flexibility to undertake national and international travel where necessary.
- Strong computer knowledge is also required in the use of Microsoft word, excel and outlook
- Must have selling experience in the furniture industry.
