    Our client is a very established and reputable South Wales law firm who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their Claimant Division in Cardiff.

    The successful candidate will work with the Director of Business Development, the Divisional Head (Claimant) and other members of the Business Development and Marketing team to drive forward business development activity in line with the Firm’s strategy.

    The main responsibilities will be:-

    · To develop and execute action plans to achieve the divisions’ business objectives;

    · Prepare and coach fee earners for their roles in meetings with defined prospects;

    · Research and analyse the firm’s prospects, clients and business sectors

    · Identify current opportunities that exist in the market, the current players and identify the key personnel who are key to earning business/tenders

    · Work as a team with the Director of Business Development and the Divisional Head to strategise and co-ordinate the execution of client entertainment and other events, and attend these events where appropriate;

    · Manage post-event follow up from the firm to ensure that contacts, clients and prospects are nurtured to win business;

    · Work with the Business Development team, drive forward Client Relationship Management activity to achieve greater internal cross-selling and revenue growth;

    · Visit targeted and existing clients to develop relationships and open up opportunities for additional work, and help fee earners to do so

    · Assist the development and integration of new products

    The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with relevant academic or vocational qualifications at this level.

    You will possess leadership qualities to inspire confidence, tact and ability to challenge, question and persuade others.

    You will have proven ability to build effective working relationships across fee-earning and support teams.

    Experience of advising at Partner/Director level is essential for this role.
