Job Title: Associate Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES)
Salary: £40-48k neg. doe. + Great benefits (detailed below)
Client: An established Infrastructure Group in a Multi-disciplinary Consultancy.
Job Purpose: To work directly for the groups Associate Director whom is responsible for delivery of a wide range of Master Planning and Building Projects, in the UK and overseas.
Overview: The candidate should be experienced in a wide range of infrastructure disciplines such as transportation, highways, drainage and earthworks. You may not possess detailed knowledge of all these disciplines but you should have an understanding of them and be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully lead Multi-disciplinary projects dealing with these aspects of engineering.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate and competently work on an independent basis
* Manage single or multi-discipline projects
* Communicate directly with Clients and Architects
* Prepare technical and financial proposals for new projects
* Plan and monitor job resourcing/expenditure and adjust as necessary
* Manage job Engineers/Technicians.
* Take responsibility for delivery of all engineering solutions and Technical Specifications
* Check/verify subordinates work
* Set up and manage job/project administrative systems and monitor performance
* Ensure their Associate Director is kept informed of their teams activities
* Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the clients best interests and that company policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
Skills / Experience & Qualifications:
* Relevant industry experience with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters Degree in Engineering (MEng).
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with extensive experience.
* Good IT skills
* A good understanding of issues surrounding site development in the UK.
Other Information:
The candidate should have the desire for progression in the business and lead a small team of Infrastructure Engineers whilst reporting to the Associate Director. The candidate would also be expected to take an active part in Business Development and be prepared to travel outside the UK.
