The Client
Operating in over 50 countries worldwide, our client is a leading hotelier whom oozes class and retains its reputation as a leading choice for corporate, and personal comfort. They currently require an experienced and ambitious Sales Director to drive the hotel occupancy to its highest capacity, ensure the effective and consistent use of the conference facilities, and to drive the sales team to achieve targeted growth.
Responsibilities
· To understand and establish yourself with the hotel culture and services available to your relevant client base
· To understand the importance of corporate and private stays and ensure maximum occupancy at all times
· Target new business within your region by establishing prospect clients which have the potential to become long-term clients
· Networking, marketing the hotel and brand, being the cornerstone of revenue generation for the business
· Calling on the ‘expertise’ of in-house sales executives and encouraging/motivating them to achieve growth targets
· Working to targets on a revenue basis weekly, monthly and annually
· Liasing with internal staff and the team to remain up to date and knowledgeable of the latest offers available
· Present at director level and sell the services of the hotel to potential clientele
Experience / Attributes
· Experience of the hotel and leisure industry essential
· Ideally, the successful applicant will hold the role of sales director for a local competitor
· The ability to negotiate at director level
· Strong local contacts and ability to pull on resources and networks
· A good marketing and organisational background, diary management and journey planning
· Enthusiastic and innovative in approach
· Experience of hitting exceeding set targets
· Self-motivated, Tenacious and resilient
· Ambitious and competitive
