HR Advisory Service
To provide general advice to line managers on a wide range of human resource issues including Discipline,
Grievance, Management of Attendance and general contractual terms of employment.
To assist in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
To provide reports for Heads of Service or Line Managers on a wide range of human resource issues,
as appropriate.
Performance Management
To support the implementation of the Council’s approach to Performance Management/PDP for Social Wellbeing & Housing.
To promote the importance of performance management across Social Wellbeing & Housing.
To assist in the development, integration and monitoring of PDP scheme, professional development and
supervision schemes.
Provision and development of management information.
Recruitment and Retention
To advise managers on matters of recruitment and retention of employees and ensure consistency of application
of relevant policies and procedures.
Human Resources Policy Development
To research and write reports on matters which, contribute to Human Resource policy.
To contribute to the development of Human Resources policies and procedures.
Training
To plan, organise and deliver training courses to meet Council and Employee Training Needs, with particular
reference to performance management and Social Wellbeing and Housing issues.
